The house
We would rather make four hundred pieces properly than four thousand quickly.
One workshop, one finishing room and a small team of makers who have been with the house for years. Frames are jointed by hand, surfaces are finished with hard-wax oil rather than sprayed lacquer, and covers are cut and sewn upstairs. It means we cannot fill a warehouse — it also means every piece that leaves the bench has somebody’s initials under it.

At the bench
Every piece starts as a full-size drawing
Nothing is cut until you have approved the material. We draw the piece at 1:1 on paper, choose the boards and send you the sample — then the bench work begins, and it takes as long as it takes.

From the rooms
What owners say
-
“The sideboard arrived crated like a piece of art and the drawers still close with one finger. Four years in, it looks better than the day it landed.”
-
“We ordered a travertine table for a family of eight. It is the only thing in the apartment nobody is allowed to put a coaster on — and nothing has marked it yet.”
-
“They talked me out of a fabric I had my heart set on because it would not survive two dogs. That is the whole reason I would buy from them again.”
